Version 0.8.338 Released!

I'm happy to announce the release of beta version 0.8.338 of the ColdFusion Common Modules Project library! Aside from a handful of changes dealing primarily with infrastructural enhancements and bug fixes, there are two new items that deserve special attention; The new Instrumentation library (org.cfcommons.instrument), and the Powernap HTTP Context Plugin for ReST web services.
org.cfcommons.instrument
The instrumentation module, while currently undocumented (but not for long) is a new and much needed addition to the modules library. This module provides a small set of interfaces and concrete classes that allow for the runtime modification of CFC source code. This new module library is what we're beginning to implement within the Chimera module, moving away from a Java-specific implementation in order to establish a more ColdFusion-centric and homogeneous foundation for that project.
Powernap ReST Web Services
Evolved from one of my earlier CF8 projects of the same name http://powernap.riaforge.org the PowernapPlugin is an HTTP Context plugin that allows developers to create ReSTful (representational state transfer) faster and easier than ever. I'll be doing a series of screen-casts about ReST and Powernap later on this week. You can view the documentation here
